After providing rehabilitative care for almost two decades, Walton Rehabilitation Hospital saw a need for an organization that would stay on the cutting edge of assistive technology for its patients and clients. In order to satisfy this need, Walton piloted a new organization – Walton Technologies. Its collaborative effort is aimed at accelerating the design of new technological solutions by drawing on the unique strengths of the Walton environment. Now Walton Technologies is actively developing the next generation of assistive technology that will go beyond the doors of Walton organizations.

Federal Wide Assurance (FWA)
Walton Rehabilitation Health System has a Federal Wide Assurance (FWA) on file with the federal Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP). This Assurance is an agreement between Walton and the OHRP, which acts on behalf of the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services. The FWA outlines the principles and guidelines that govern the institution and staff in the protection of the rights and welfare of the participants in the research conducted at or sponsored by Walton Rehabilitation Health System, regardless of the source of the funding.
