Dr. Salazar earned her medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and Rehabilitation. She completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mount Sinai Medical Center and a clinical fellowship in Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Children's Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center, Albert Einstein University.

Dr. Salazar works with both children and adults. In children, she is especially interested in treating cerebral palsy, spina bifida and developmental delays, as well as working with traumatic injuries such as brachial plexus injuries. In adults, her special interests are treating patients with spinal cord injuries, neuromuscular disease and injuries, and electrodiagnostics (EMGs).
