Dr. John L. Rigg, M.D.

Dr. Rigg is a Board Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician, as well as a Specialist in Traumatic Brain Injury Treatment. He obtained his bachelor’s degree, Cum Laude, in Chemistry with concentrations in Biology and Philosophy from the University of Detroit and his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York.  Dr. Rigg then completed a year-long internship in Internal Medicine at Sound Shore Medical Center, a part of New York Medical College in New Rochelle, NY.  At the conclusion of his internship, he started his residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/ Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation and completed it in June 2005.  Upon completion of his Residency, Dr. Rigg worked as an Instructor and Attending Physician/Fellow in Traumatic Brain Injury at the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh Medical College from July 2005 to June 2006.

It is Dr. Rigg's mission to improve the lives of people who have suffered T.B.I.s: individually, by providing an accurate diagnosis, education, and medications; and collectively, through sharing his knowledge with peers and advocating better participation in clinical research trials to develop newer and better brain injury treatments and discover new uses for existing ones.
